How to Write an Effective Blog ? – Devstringx

There are 3 simple blogging and writing Secrets.

STEP 1- COLLECT IDEAS

This is about the content you consume on a daily basis from books you read, movies you watch, social media you consume, the technology you work on, the technology you are interested in, etc. This is all about the stuff you feed yourself.

There is a saying by Stephen King –

If you want to write a blog, you must do two things above all: Read a lot and Write a lot

When I am saying collect ideas, it majorly means Collect Inspiration.

Collect Ideas = Collect Inspiration

STEP 2- CURATE IDEAS

This Step is about effectively capturing and organizing the ideas, So we can accurately execute them. The very important thing to remember over here is –

collect content from various sources but personalize your feed.

No Body; Nobody really came up with completely original ideas. You shouldn’t copy ideas, but you should learn from and be inspired by the ideas of others

STEP 3- PUBLISH IDEAS

After writing any article always ask 3 main questions to yourself –

1. Is It Clear?

  • What’s the first thing you are trying to communicate?
  • If it isn’t clear then people won’t  Care, Connect and Read.

2. How does this sound?

  • Read it aloud
  • Does it feel Natural?
  • Does it flow from sentence to sentence
  • Is it wordy?

3. Does it have a personality?

Writing is the result of combining inspiration with your personal perspective. As you collect ideas from different sources, it is really important you use them from your personal perspective because No One – Nobody has the same perspective.
